Iain, an elder at Greyfriars Stratherrick, is the Scottish and Northern England area representative of the Soliders and Airmen's Scripture Readers Association. SASRA's ministry is personal evangelism among members of the armed forces. Uniquely, they are permitted, subject to Chaplain's recommendation and Commanding Officers' permission, to visit soldiers and airmen in their accommodation, work and recreation areas. This is done with a view to befriending them and introducing them to the Lord Jesus Christ.
... A brief look at the New Testament will show that Jesus was often in touch with soldiers and was concerned for them personally and spiritually. Soldiers were also near Him when he died. Some remained quite unmoved by His sufferings but to one there came a great moment of spiritual light that led to his clear confession, "This was the Son of God". It is significant that the first Gentile church meeting took place in the Army quarter of a Roman Centurion named Cornelius.
Iain is married to Ella, and they have three adult daughters.

Christian Witness to Israel, established in 1842 as The British Society for the Propagation of the Gospel Among the Jews, is a UK-based interdenominational and international evangelistic organisation committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus the Messiah with the Jewish people. CWI staff seek to reason from both the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament ... to prove that the Messiah must suffer and rise from the dead and that Jesus is the Messiah, the Saviour of the world promised through the ancient Jewish prophets. CWI believes that to preach the Good News of Jesus to everyone but the Jews is an act of spiritual anti-Semitism. They are completely open and honest about their beliefs and aims and deplore deceptive and manipulative techniques. The Free Church of Scotland and CWI have enjoyed a long and fruitfull relationship, dating back to the origins of the Free Church in 1843. In Israel, CWI operates as Hagfen Publishing .
