The Bible is central to our worship. That is why a major part of our Sunday services is committed to understanding, explaining and applying what it teaches. The Bible, contains everything we need to know about God and ourselves. It is is absolutely necessary to guide us through all the claims and counter-claims of the religious world of our day. It is an essential guide to life. It has supreme authority because it comes from God Himself. Although some parts of it can be difficult to grasp, most of it is clear, so that ordinary people can understand it.
The Bible was originally written in the languages of Hebrew (Old Testament) and common Greek (New Testament). To make the message of these original manuscripts available to ordinary people, they have to be translated into contemporary language.
God uses the reading but especially the preaching of the Bible to change people's hearts, to comfort them and make them more like Jesus Christ.
