Dr Malcolm Maclean accepts call to Greyfriars At the meeting of the Western Isles Presbytery today (30 June) a call from the Greyfriars Free Church congregation in Inverness to Dr Malcolm Maclean was accepted. Dr Maclean (originally from Inverness) has been the minister of Scalpay Free Church since he went there in 2004 as his first charge. He is married to Katie. The Greyfriars congregation has been vacant since 2008 when the previous minister, Dr John Ross went to Dumisani Theological Institute as lecturer in Church History. (The Greyfriars congregation has also recently come to a successful and amicable arrangement with the Free Church Continuing in which the original manse was sold and the proceeds divided.) Dr Maclean is expected to be inducted to Greyfriars sometime late summer

We are committed to God's Word, prayer and fellowship, witness and service. We meet at Balloan Road, Inverness, in the heart of expanding urban housing developments. We also meet in Stratherrick, in the Church of Scotland church at Boleskine, Bailebeag, in the heart of a rural community about 20 miles south-west of the city centre.
